On January 1, 2008, RMDS became the successor to Rocky Mountain Tariff
Bureau, Inc. (RMB) which dissolved at the end of 2007. In 1983 RMB
developed the format concept of tariffs based on five digit U.S. Postal
Codes as well as formula driven class rate scales. In addition, the RatesALL
PC Rating engine developed by RMB was a pioneer in the market. RMDS also publishes
Division Sheet D-83 for the division of revenue on joint-line
shipments that was also developed by RMB.
